The Sonoma-Mendocino-Lake Medical Association represents more than 1600 physician members in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties, including practicing physicians, residents, and medical students. The medical association is dedicated to promoting the science and art of medicine, the care and well-being of patients, the protection of the public health, the betterment of the medical profession, and are dedicated to upholding the authority and autonomy of physicians in the delivery of professional and ethical medical care.

For more than 150 years, the North Bay medical societies have been at the forefront of current medicine, ensuring that our members are represented in the areas of public policy, government relations and community relations. Through advocacy efforts at the county level and statewide through the California Medical Association, physician leaders and staff work to protect physicians practice from legal, legislative, and regulatory intrusions so physicians can focus on what’s really important: their patients.
