Oct. 25: Physician Aid-in-Dying forum In June, California became the fifth state to allow physicians to prescribe medication for terminally ill patients who wish to end their lives through provisions of the End of Life Option Act. SCMA's Physician Aid-in-Dying Task Force is hosting a meeting at Partnership HealthPlan on Oct. 25 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to discuss requirements of the California End of Life Option Act. Attendees will also hear first-hand about the "Oregon Experience," a panel discussion, and wrap-up with an understanding of the resources needed for physicians and their patients.
